"Sustainably and economically into the future"

As an industrial company in the renewable energy sector, we have set ourselves the goal of achieving the highest efficiency with the lowest emissions!

"Sustainably and economically into the future"

In order to improve the energy footprint before our biomass heating systems are operational, we decided in the course of construction of a new production facility to erect a solar generator in the form of a photovoltaic system and to use the largest possible CO2 saving potential and therefore cover more than the entire requirements of the new building from our own production.

This project was implemented as a surplus system, that is without contribution from subsidies or high feed-in tariffs.

Also located on our premises is an employee electrical filling station in the form of an architecturally attractive solar carport to give our employees a CO-2neutral route to and from their workplaces. A high savings potential was also strived for and realised for our in-house fleet.

With this project, we expect to save up to 230 tonnes of additional CO2per year, furthermore the energy balance of products and production processes should be significantly improved to serve as a model for companies and industry and to build up the consciousness of all to effectively implement renewable energy.

Calculations of the existing load profile have shown that a very high performance ratio of 80% has already been achieved. From which we can see that we can make use of approx. 275,000 kWh per year directly without mains or measurement losses in our in-house grid. Only the energy we currently don't need is fed into the electricity supply company's grid.
Surplus systems allow the use of existing infrastructure and therefore can be operated very efficiently and with low losses or allow an economically attractive set up.

PV system benchmark data:

  •  Production hall 8,500 m2 (welding, painting, assembly workplaces) with approx. 3,000 m2 unshaded and usable roof area

  •  Photovoltaic system flat roof 294 kWp

  •  Carport with photovoltaic facade 63.3 kWp with employee electric filling station for electric cars

  •  approx. 343,000 kWh/a own electricity production

  •  through targeted optimisation of our own energy management, approx. 10% increase of the performance ratio to over 90%
